Scenario description: At 13:45 hours the 55 members of the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) observation post on the Israeli Hermon noted the covers being pulled off of the Syrian artillery along the Purple Line. Within minutes artillery began crashing around their positions and around 14:45 several helicopters landed elements of the Syrian 82nd Paratroop Battalion on the slopes of the OP. The battle for the post would last several hours with few IDF personnel escaping. Another desperate Arab-Israeli War had begun and Mount Hermon would become an Israeli Alamo.*
